Are you a filmmaker looking to showcase the beauty of Fort Erie in your next shoot? The Town of Fort Erie is here to support your production needs, from pre-production to the final take. We understand the film industry and the vast potential Fort Erie and the Niagara region have to offer.

Our streamlined Film Policy ensures a smooth application process, prioritizing safety and minimizing disruptions for local residents, businesses and tourists alike!

Please submit your Film Permit Application at least 10 business days before filming in Fort Erie. Processing times may vary and we may require additional time to process applications for productions that involve road closures, special efforts or other special requirements. There is no fee for a Film Permit Application.

• Please provide details of the request for filming in Fort Erie (i.e. the specific proposed location(s), date and time, any parking that may be required for your filming equipment, number of cast and crew, etc.)

• Indicate if there are any required road closures and/or if you intend to have any erected structures for filming (i.e. large lighting cranes, etc.).

• Will you be utilizing drones for aerial footage or any other purposes during the filming?

• Please advise what the estimated economic impact is (i.e. dollars spent in Fort Erie) and provide further information about it (i.e. accommodations, local talent, food, other local services, etc).
